ISOH/IMPACT is preparing to send two containers of relief supplies to the flood victims in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

On Wednesday, June 25, 2008, ISOH/IMPACT volunteers will be meeting at our warehouse located at 905 Farnsworth Rd. in Waterville, OH to sort and package the relief supplies that have been collected for the victims of the recent flooding in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The first container will be leaving the warehouse on Thursday or Friday of this week and will be transported by Craig Transport of Perrysburg, OH who have graciously donated their equipment and services for this shipment. Given the extent of the needs of the victims of this weather related disaster, additional donations of the following are still needed:

  • Canned Food and Non-Perishable Food Items
  • Baby Diapers
  • Buckets, Brooms, Mops/Mop Heads
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Sponges/Scrubbing Pads
  • Disinfectant Cleaners
  • Tarps, Ropes & Large Trash Bags
  • Gloves & Masks (protection from mold & mildew)
  • Bank Gift Cards for groceries & building supplies

Please, no glass items or clothing.

There is a P.O.D. container at the ISOH/IMPACT warehouse in Waterville for after-hours drop-offs. Cash donations to help offset packaging, transportation and shipping costs are also needed.

Cash donations can be made at the warehouse during normal hours of operation (M-TH 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., F 8:00 a.m.-noon), through the ISOH/IMPACT website (www.isohimpact.org) or sent directly to the ISOH/IMPACT offices at 25182 W. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551. Credit card donations can also be made by calling our offices at 419-878-8548.

Trailer of supplies collected from area heads to flood-ravaged Iowa

Charles Atkins will leave his small town in the mountains of North Carolina tomorrow morning driving a trailer packed with 42,000 pounds of bottled water, mops, flashlights, and baby diapers.

Those supplies and others are bound for Iowa flood victims, but they first were collected in Toledo.
